Mr. Calvin Wilson has flown over 5700 hours as a commercial pilot and over 2200 hours as a flight instructor. Immediately after graduating from WVU, he joined Fairchild Aircraft, MD, and as a Flight Test Engineer. From 1959 through 1984, Mr. Wilson worked for the Piper Aircraft Corporation. Starting out as a flight engineer, he rose through the ranks to become the Director of Engineering at Piper Aircraft. As director, he oversaw a budget of nearly four million dollars and had the supervisory responsibility for almost 100 personnel. He was responsible for the flight and structural integrity of the Piper aircraft certified during this period. Mr. Wilson is the author of the concept of counter-rotating engines for the Twin Comanche. In addition, Mr. Calvin Wilson served as a lecturer of aircraft design at Pennsylvania State University and as the vice president of General Aviation Technical Services, Lock Haven Pennsylvania from 1986 to 1993.
