Mr. Linger took over as President and CEO of TechSolve Inc. in September of 2016. TechSolve has been a leading manufacturing consulting firm and research institute since 1982. In October of 2021, TechSolve formed a fully owned subsidiary, Juxtum Inc., that develops and commercializes IIoT machine data connectivity software used to manage factory assets and perform analytics for machine health and prognostics. Mr. Linger is the CEO of Juxtum Inc. and is excited to be working to solve the challenges of smart manufacturing especially in the Aerospace and Defense industries. In 2013, Mr. Linger was the inaugural President and CEO of the University of Cincinnati Research Institute (UCRI). In this role, Mr. Linger cultivated an open innovation and collaborative culture between industry and the University of Cincinnati. Mr. Linger has over twenty five years of learning and success in bringing new technology and innovations to market through roles in Engineering, Product Development, Product Management, and Business Development. In recognition for his leadership and passion for commercial partnerships and monetizing technology, Mr. Linger was awarded the 2008 GE Corporate IP Growth Award. Previously, between 2004 and 2013, Mr. Linger was the Director of Technology Partnerships and Commercialization at GE Aviation. Other GE roles included senior staff engineer, business development manager, and marketing manager. Prior to 2004, Mr. Linger held executive positions with Medical Device companies such as Hill-Rom and Ferno-Washington. These roles focused on Brand Management, Portfolio Management, and Engineering Leadership. Accomplishments include a product design award from ID magazine and the Medical Design Excellence Award. Previously, Mr. Linger was the Vice President of Product Engineering for Cold Jet Inc. CJI pioneered and perfected dry ice blasting technology for precision and industrial cleaning. This technology was marketed globally to 37 different industries. Mr. Linger began his career in 1990 with GE Aircraft Engines as a design engineer and worked on both military and commercial gas turbine engines. Mr. Linger’s area of expertise was in the heat transfer and fluid systems analysis disciplines with multiple patents and innovations made to HP and LP turbine active clearance control designs.

After completing a BS in Aerospace Engineering from West Virginia University, Mr. Linger had the opportunity to join GE Aircraft Engines via the Edison Engineering Development Program. The Advanced Course in Engineering (ACE) soon followed and culminated with a MS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. In 2009, Mr. Linger completed an MBA in Management and Entrepreneurial studies from Xavier University and received a GE DFSS Black Belt in Six Sigma. Mr. Linger currently holds eight patents and has previously spoken at International Conferences on the topic of Open Innovation.

David lives with his wife, Sumer, and three children, Savannah, Hunter, and Calvin in Milford, Ohio.
