Mrs. Jessica Lamp is the Technology Transfer Program Manager at the US Department of Energy (DOE) National Technology Laboratory (NETL). The NETL produces technological solutions to America’s energy challenges. For more than 100 years, the laboratory has developed tools and processes to provide clean, reliable, and affordable energy to the American people. NETL’s current mission is to discover, integrate, and mature technology solutions to enhance the nation’s energy foundation and protect the environment for future generations.
In her capacity, Jessica negotiates licensing agreements and manages all aspects of the invention disclosure and technology promotion programs for NETL. During Jessica’s management, which was initiated in 2010, NETL’s reputation for providing valuable and streamlined technology transfer has steadily grown.
Jessica earned her Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University in 1989. She went on to attain her Master in Business Administration degree at WVU in 1990. Afterward, she gained valuable experience in industry at the Electronic Data Systems (EDS) Corporation, at various locations throughout the US. In the late 1990’s she opted to follow a new path of career growth and subsequently her Law degree (JD) from WVU in 1999. After gaining experience with private law firms, where she participated in patent infringement cases and prepared patent applications, she joined the NETL in 2010.
