Ms. Romanoski Shaw received her BSAE from West Virginia University in 1969 and is current owner of LMRS Information Services LLC which provides analysis of advanced technologies for transition to the marketplace. After receiving a MSAAE degree from Ohio State University, she joined the NASA Lewis Research Center (currently the Glenn Research Center) in Cleveland, Ohio. During her 30 year career with NASA, she contributed to a variety of research disciplines including aeronautics, aeroacoustics, turbomachinery, and cryogenic engines for space exploration. As a project manager, she managed the Noise Reduction Project at Glenn as part of the NASA Advanced Subsonic Technology (AST) Program that helped revitalize NASA’s aeronautics research in the 1990s. She provided technical and administrative management as Branch Chief to the Compressor Branch to improve the performance, design and analysis capabilities of compressors in support of aeronautics and space. Loretta initiated and led the development of technical roadmaps for the Glenn Aeronautics Directorate. In the space arena, she managed the activities of the Space Flight and Exploration Office with regard to supporting NASA’s goals for space exploration by leading a new initiative for funding space related research. Loretta received the NASA Exceptional Achievement Medal for leadership in NASA’s transformational activities relating to competition-based acquisition strategies for Exploration Systems. She received a MBA from Cleveland State University and led the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program at NASA Glenn. After retiring from NASA she received a MLIS degree from Kent State University and started LMRS information Services. While at WVU, she was a member of Sigma Gamma Tau, the National Honorary for Aerospace Engineers and Tau Beta PI. She is also a member of the business honorary, Beta Gamma Sigma and Beta Phi Mu the library and information science honorary. She and her husband, Dr. Robert (Joe) Shaw PhD reside in Fairview Park, Ohio. Their daughter, Dr. Cynthia Singleton, who received her PhD in AstroPhysics from the University of Colorado, resides in Ashburn, VA with her husband, Ken Singleton, MSSE from Iowa State University and two children Addison and Bryce.
