Mr. Robert Kimble earned his Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace engineering from West Virginia University and a master’s degree in management from the University of Maryland. He also graduated from the Defense Systems Management College and the Senior Executive Management Development Program.

Mr. Kimble began his career in the Department of the Navy in 1989 and has held senior leadership positions in program management, systems engineering, process improvement, and resources and requirements.

From 1989 to 1997 Mr. Kimble served as an engineer in the Specification, Standardization and Data Management Branch and was then assigned to the T-45 Training System Office. In 1997, he became the T-45 Airframe Lead and Deputy Program Manager for Production and Quality.

Mr. Kimble was selected for a rotation in 2000 to the staff of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Air Programs), where he served as the Marine Programs Action Officer. In 2001, after his rotation, he was assigned to the H-60 Program Office as the MH-60R Co-IPT Lead, responsible for the Life Cycle Management of the MH-60R Weapon System.
